An Overview of Manufacturing Processes and Material Expertise

Coating
Various coatings are used to impart specific new properties to certain surfaces. For example, they can improve adhesion, printability, barrier properties, or the protection of the material.
Metallization
A wafer-thin layer of metal can reflect light and thermal radiation, block oxygen and water vapor, or create a metallic effect. Depending on the design, the result can range from partially transparent to completely opaque.
Lamination
Lamination bonds multiple materials together to form a composite. This allows properties such as barrier performance, strength, heat reflection, sealability, tactile feel, and printability to be combined in a single structure.
Cutting, Finishing, and Splitting
Coated, metallized, and laminated webs are transformed into formats for further processing. Precise cutting, rewinding, and splitting preserve the material’s function and surface.
Materials
Films, paper, nonwovens, and foams serve different purposes depending on the application. They form the basis for barrier solutions, reflective systems, printable surfaces, and technical composites.
Contract Manufacturing
If you lack your own equipment, capacity, or specific process steps, Dunmore will handle the desired processing. We can handle individual processes as well as coordinated production chains.
